ABOUT ME

José María is a lawyer with a passion for behavioral sciences. Before fully dedicating himself to legal operations, he developed his career for over a decade in the international arbitration market at Bullard Falla Ezcurra +, American Bar Association Rule of Law Initiative, and Covington & Burling LLP.

In his role as a legal operations consultant, José María has led more than 30 innovation projects for legal departments in Latin America and Europe.

He earned his LL.M. as a Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar at Columbia University (New York) and his law degree from the Pontifical Catholic University of Peru.

He has published the research studies “Legal Services During the Pandemic,” “Legal Management 2022,” and “Contracts and the Legal-Business Gap.” He was also the editor of the books “Psychological Analysis of Law” (Themis, 2018) and “Surviving in the Field of International Arbitration” (Kluwer, 2020).

His work has been featured in Forbes, Law.com, and several academic journals.
